GCSE Fieldwork at Dawlish Warren

GCSE students in Year 10 visited Teignmouth, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren to collect data for their GCSE coursework. At Teignmouth and Dawlish students asked members of the public for their views on coastal management issues.

At Dawlish Warren students were asked to complete a field sketch of Langstone Rock and conduct bi polar surveys of the coastal defences.
They also collected groyne data for their investigation of whether Long Shore Drift was impacting on the sand spit.

Students then visited the National Nature Reserve to consider conservation issues of this internationally important site.
